project life 2014 // week seventeen.

Dated: April 21 - April 27. Sometimes traveling and being busy makes this project frustrating, but I still love it and everything it stands for so much. What I did this week: Max was back at school on Wednesday so I was able to start catching up on all of my blogging and project life spreads. I went out to dinner with my girlfriends on Wednesday night for half price wine, then bowling with the same girls on Thursday night. I had off Thursday because Max and his family left for Florida for a long weekend. Friday I drove down to AC with my two best friends for one of their birthdays and stayed until Sunday morning.About this spread: I had trouble again deciding on journaling cards to use and whatnot (I need to get my crap together, or just stop buying cute papers and things that I want to use all at once and then get overwhelmed) but once I had everything the way I wanted it to, I found it easy to organize. I do the same layout pretty much every week (seven 4x6 photos & four 3x4 photos in every other slot), so it's really a routine now that just depends on the color scheme or theme that I want my journaling cards to follow. In this week's case it was grey, black + white because my photos had a lot of reds and other colors to them. I kind of love how the right side of this spread ended up having matching photos all three rows (shoes, outfits with friends, and coffee), because it's just so typical of my camera roll to look like that.Details + interesting tidbits: For the first time since I started this project I used a foldover journal card because I wanted to write most of what happened in AC with my friends. I used an adhesive roller to attach a tab to my photo, and then put the photo down directly onto the card itself. I wrote the story on the inside of the card, and now it's a little pull out with the photo showing, which I love the look of (see photos below). Because it was the last full week of the month I did April's bests (see March, February, + January bests on their respective spreads). I used a ton of stamps this week to spruce things up a bit, and also, I'm going to add an insert of my 2x2 photos of 30 days of: coffee, in the same style as my selfie photos insert.Photo breakdown: phone photos: 10 // canon t3 photos: 1 // polaroid photos: 0. Taken by me, the self-timer, and shutter remotes.
