project life 2015 // week thirteen.
March 23 - March 29.What went on this week: This week I went to TBS with my friend (for the second time in five days), spent time with my nuggets and taught skylar how to smile for a selfie (see below left), and babysat for them on saturday night, when Max walked down the stairs in pajama pants and no shirt like a little teenager — threenagers are a thing.Details + interesting tidbits: Nothing matched this week, I wasn't totally into it, but clearly I'm far too behind in both creating my pages and posting them to be picky.Photo Breakdown: phone photos: 11 // DSLR photos: 0 // polaroid photos: 0. Taken by me, the self-timer, and shutter remotes.Materials Used: Studio Calico PL kits: odyssey (glasses and week cards); lisse street ("everyday life" card); cirque ("hello," card), project life 3x4 grid card, less is more stamps, fiskars corner rounder, fiskars paper trimmer, staz-on jet black ink, smash date stamp, zig photo signature pen in black (on photos), zig writer marker in black (on journal cards), canon selphy wireless printer, canon selphy ink + paper kit.

august beauty favorites.
1. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette // 2. Burberry Runway Blush and Highlighter // 3. Real Techniques Flat Contour Brush // 4. Rimmel Wonderlash Mascara // 5. Becca Ultimate Full Lash Perfecting Mascara // 6. Frank Body Balm // 7. Korres Lip Butter in 'Wild Rose'It's been a while since I did one of these, because to be honest I haven't had that much changeup in my beauty routine. But now that my work bestie is a beauty editor, the recommendations are flooding in and it's almost as if I started watching youtube beauty vids again but with personal tips, therefore more desire to try (and buy, ugh) things. Mascara has always been my favorite, so I tried out two over the last month and a half, and they're both awesome. The Becca mascara has a thick fiber brush, so it coats and volumizes, and the Rimmel separates and lengthens. Together they're the perfect pair, but they're awesome separately, too.The highlighter palette is amazeballs. The middle shade, Incandescent Light, is a great brow and inner eye highlight, and Radiant Light is the perfect highlight for my summer skin right now. The left shade, Dim Light, is a little bit too pink for my skin, but over blush it works. The contour brush is something I've been looking for a while now, and I love it — the hairs are very packed, but real soft. The blush looks scary, but it's actually pretty light, and took me forever to even get it to show on camera. The lip butter is the perfect amount of color for everyday, but because it's a butter it rubs off pretty easily — it's so beautiful though, it's worth the constant reapplying. And finally, the body balm is really just a good lotion, but it smells delicious and keeps skin smooth for a while.

project life 2015 // week twelve.
March 16 - March 22.What went on this week: This week I had done a lot for the blog, including s'mores bars and elephant bookends. I also got hired at popsugar, which meant savoring the moments with my nuggets even more than I ever have. I went to the long island craft beer festival with my friends, which was a gift for my birthday, and skylar turned six months.Details + interesting tidbits: Since Sky turned six months this week, I used that cute balloon card, and because I had a bunch of pretty DSLR photos of things I made and the flowers I bought, I immediately went looking for the "I like pretty things" card. I kept things kind of neutral, as usual.Photo Breakdown: phone photos: 8 // DSLR photos: 3 // polaroid photos: 0. Taken by me, the self-timer, and shutter remotes.Materials Used: PL Core Kits: seafoam edition (week card), Studio Calico PL kits: odyssey ("3" and calendar cards); carolina moon ("pretty things" card); far far away (balloons card), less is more stamps, fiskars corner rounder, fiskars paper trimmer, staz-on jet black ink, smash date stamp, zig photo signature pen in black (on photos), zig writer marker in black (on journal cards), canon selphy wireless printer, canon selphy ink + paper kit.

curently: august.
working from home after a minor leg injury — that's all you need, it's kind of gross.
reading The Invisibles for book club with my friends, and liking it a lot so far.
catching up on Bachelor in Paradise and kiiiind of crushin' on Dan a little bit.
getting excited about cooler nights. Fall. Is. Coming.
obsessing over this video — too funny.
making a million lists in my phone for every little thing, and trying to decide if it's obsessive or productive.
eating peanut butter and jelly like my life depends on it.
listening to this song on repeat for actual full work days.
craving doughnuts on the regular — don't think this one is going away until I give in to the urge.
running on the treadmill and remembering how much I hate running on a treadmill.
going on vacation with my nuggets in November and couldn't be more excited.
wanting to make these soooo bad.
trying to keep this blog afloat. It's so much harder now with significantly less downtime.
loving the end of summer.
