This literally isn't even worth a post, but for anyone looking for the ultimate last-minute DIY pumpkin decorating idea, this is it.
I used a craftsmart gold paint marker to hand-letter "happy halloween" onto a small pumpkin. It took about five minutes, if that. And boom goes the dynamite.
