project life 2014 // week sixteen.

Dated: April 14 - April 20. This spread is the second of two that proves I have a boyfriend sometimes, so I liked that about it.What I did this week: R was still here until Saturday afternoon, but we got to spend a lot less time together since Max was off of school and I was with him the entire day. This meant that Max and I had some good quality time to spend together, as well as a number of successful + fun play dates with friends. The weather was fantastic again, so that meant more outside dates with R after work and on the weekend, more time to spend with Lucas running circles in the grass around us, and more sunshine to take great photos in. After R left I went out with my girlfriends, and Easter Sunday was significantly less documented as a result of going out a little too hard. I made amends with the Big Guy Upstairs, and he's just happy I was alive on the day his son rose again, and that I made it to mass in one piece.About this spread:  I did week in the life documenting this week (spread to come soon), so these pictures really were the best of the best, the cream of the crop considering I took so many over the course of the seven days. I loved all of them, so I kept my journaling cards and date cards pretty simple and all in that seafoam/blue-ish/green-ish color that I love using so much. I used the Amy Tangerine plus one paper pack again because there were a bunch of great papers in that color (date card and first three journaling cards from left to right). It all looks cohesive to me and tells the week's story, even though eventually I'll have a WitL insert between the spread.Details + interesting tidbits: The journal card all the way on the right was actually from an Old Navy coupon book that I got in the mail. The pattern and the color were on point, so I knew as soon as I saw it that I would have to cut it down to a 3x4. Thank goodness for Old Navy's trendiness, it made the spread in my opinion! Other than that I used a lot of stamping (you are so loved stamps from the Blugrass Farm kit, and A&R + LOVE from the Amy Tangerine American Crafts Yes Please alphabet set) and some stickers and a flair badge to tell the story (aside from my usual on-photo journaling).Photo breakdown: phone photos: 11 // canon t3 photos: 0 (whomp) // polaroid photos: 0. Taken by me, the self-timer, and shutter remotes.
